2016, peak-staggering production has been promoted nationwide, from north to south, from peak-staggering production in heating season to normal promotion, cement production in the fourth quarter of the north has dropped from 197 million tons in 2016 to 177 million tons in 2021, and peak-staggering production has also been implemented in the south. It has created the "golden five years" of the cement industry from 2017 to 2021. Power rationing struck again
in 2021, with cement production of 200 million tons in September, down 4.7% from August. In October, the average price of cement reached 643 yuan/ton, the highest in history.
However, in the final analysis, peak staggering and power limitation are only short-term means of regulation and control, which fail to fundamentally solve the problem of overcapacity, and there is still a long way to go to optimize the structure of the industry.
