On March 24, Huasheng New Energy signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau, Zheshang Zhongtuo Guangying and TBEA Electrical Equipment Group Co., Ltd. in Shanghai to jointly develop the photovoltaic market in Southeast Asia in the form of a consortium.

The parties will give full play to their advantages in the fields of high-efficiency heterojunction products, engineering construction, supply chain services and power equipment. The first landing project is a 400MW centralized grid-connected photovoltaic power station in Laos, which is scheduled to start construction in the third quarter of 2026, and the power will be supplied to Thailand across the border. The
project, with a total construction scale of 400MW, is located on the north bank of the Mekong River at the border between Laos and Thailand. The clean electricity generated will be connected to the national power grid of Laos and directly transmitted to the power grid of Thailand in accordance with the cross-border power purchase agreement between Laos and Thailand, effectively alleviating the power demand of Thailand and promoting the interconnection of regional green energy.
This cooperation is an important practice for China's heterojunction photovoltaic industry chain to cooperate with the sea , and also a decisive measure to respond to the "the Belt and Road" initiative and promote energy transformation and regional green interconnection in Southeast Asia .
