From January to May this year, the cement market in central Xizang continued the good development trend of the previous year, the production and operation of enterprises were stable and orderly, and the overall operation of the industry remained stable; from June to July, the market supply and demand pattern changed significantly, the product shipments continued to narrow, the pressure of clinker inventory increased, the market price fluctuated, and there was downward pressure; Looking forward to 8-12 months, regional market demand is expected to usher in marginal improvement. However, due to the slowdown in the pace of demand release for key projects, there is limited room for demand recovery.
Based on the analysis of multiple factors, the demand for cement for post-disaster reconstruction in Xigaze has fallen sharply, the competition from Xinjiang in Ali's civil market has intensified, the demand for civil cement in Lhasa, Shannan and other areas in central Xizang has increased insufficiently, and the demand for cement for key projects has been released slowly. This year, the overall demand for cement in Xizang has declined significantly compared with the same period last year, and the market pattern of supply exceeding demand is difficult to change in the short term. It will be the most urgent and arduous task for the industry to guide the healthy development of the industry, reduce marketing expectations, promote peak staggering production and standardize market behavior.
