100GWh cell + 60GWh system! Construction of the second phase of Yichang Super Factory of Vision Power

, 2026, the commencement ceremony of the second phase project of Yichang Super Factory of Vision Power was held.

Following the launch of the first phase of the project in October last year, the world's first 100 GWh energy storage industry chain base has entered the accelerated construction stage.

It is reported that the second phase of the project plans a new generation of energy storage core capacity of 60 GWh and AI energy storage system capacity of 60 GWh, which is expected to be put into full operation in 2027. Together with the first phase of 40 GWh production capacity, the total production capacity of Yichang Base will jump to 100 GWh level, boosting Yichang from "the heart of China's hydropower" to "the capital of global energy storage".

At present, the "15th Five-Year Plan" has positioned the new energy storage as the core support of the new power system , and for the first time incorporated into the national strategic emerging pillar industries.
