Sichuan 472MW Photovoltaic Project Officially Started!

On August 18, the construction and installation project of Gaocheng Photovoltaic Project in Litang Block 3 was officially started.

It is understood that the Gaocheng Photovoltaic Project of Litang Block 3 is located in Bengo Township, Litang County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total installed capacity of 800MWp on the AC side and 944.77832 MWp on the DC side. The installed capacity of DC side of Bid Section II of the Project is about 471.6M W. The construction scope includes 128 photovoltaic arrays, 128 box-type transformers, 12.88 km of on-site roads, 20 circuits of power collection lines, construction camps and energy storage stations.

It is understood that the construction and installation bid II of the project will be jointly constructed by China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Fourth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Energy Construction Co., Ltd. and is a key project for the development and layout of new energy in the western Sichuan Plateau. The project plans to adopt the combined foundation form of concrete cast-in-place pile and steel pipe spiral pile, with fixed photovoltaic bracket , with a total construction period of 731 days . It is planned to achieve full capacity grid-connected power generation on June 30, 2028.

It is noteworthy that on July 8, 2026, the consortium formed by China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Fourth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Energy Construction Group Co., Ltd. won the bid for the construction and installation section II of the project at a price of 241 million yuan .
