On May 21, at the 8th Yangtze River Delta Integration Development Forum, the list of the third batch of Yangtze River Delta Innovation Consortium was officially released, among which the "Yangtze River Delta Cement Industry Carbon Capture and Carbon Conversion Innovation Consortium" led by Conch Group was successfully selected.

The 12 selected consortia, covering nuclear fusion, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy, new materials and other key frontier tracks, led by leading enterprises in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, will deeply integrate regional science and technology resources, work together to break through the core technology of the industry, and create a new highland of science and technology integration in the Yangtze River Delta.

Among them, the Yangtze River Delta Cement Industry Carbon Capture and Carbon Conversion Innovation Consortium, led by Conch Group, was jointly established by nine scientific research institutes and enterprises, including China University of Science and Technology, Tongji University and Institute of Forestry and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on the whole process of carbon reduction at the source, process and end of the cement industry. We will focus on solving the problem of CO2 capture with low energy consumption and high-value utilization, create a complete set of CCUS solutions for the cement industry that can be replicated, promoted and profitable, and help the Yangtze River Delta take the lead in building a carbon neutral demonstration zone.
As a leading enterprise in the industry, Conch not only focuses on its own development, but also leads the building materials industry to high-quality development through open innovation and ecological synergy. In the next step, Conch will take the innovation consortium as a platform to promote technology research, achievement sharing and standard co-construction, and contribute to the national "double carbon" goal and the integration of the Yangtze River Delta!
