[Original] Spain: Domestic cement consumption reached 10.89 million tons in 2014

   According to the Spanish Cement Association, domestic cement consumption reached 10.89 million tons in 2014. This is in line with previous expectations of just under 11 million tonnes. Since 2007, the consumption of cement in Spain has been at a low level. In 2014, the consumption achieved a proportional growth for the first time, with a year-on-year growth rate of 0.4%. The output of cement also increased by 5.4% to 13.91 million tons, and the export volume of cement increased by 31.6% to about 9.6 million tons.

   A person from the association said that in 2015, Spain's cement industry will have moderate growth, and the monthly growth data may hover between growth and contraction.
