United Arab Emirates, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the United Arab Emirates Hydropower Company (EWEC), according to the official website of Masdar on May 5. It plans to deploy more than 30GW solar photovoltaic capacity and more than 8GW battery energy storage in the UAE.

"The cooperation framework agreement with Masdar is a key strategic tool that will help us accelerate our transformation and achieve 60% of Abu Dhabi's energy from renewable and clean sources by 2035.". "By promoting the development of solar photovoltaic projects, it is expected that by 2035 , the installed capacity will exceed 30GW and the supporting capacity will exceed 8GW , while reshaping the industry." Ensure long-term power supply safety.
It is noteworthy that in April, Masdar and Chinese photovoltaic enterprises also signed a cooperation agreement on orders for GW photovoltaic modules .
On April 20, Jingke Energy announced that recently the company and Masdar formally signed a cooperative supply agreement for 2GW photovoltaic modules. According to the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply components for the RTC (Round-the-Clock) project , Abu Dhabi's landmark global integrated optical storage flagship project.
It is reported that Abu Dhabi RTC project is the world's first and largest renewable energy flagship project with deep integration of solar energy and energy storage. It is jointly built by Masdar and EWEC, a water and electricity company in the United Arab Emirates. The total investment of the project is over 22 billion dirhams (about 40.8 billion yuan), and the overall planning and construction of 5.2G W photovoltaic power station is supported by 19 GWh, the largest and most advanced battery energy storage system in the world.
