The deputy director of the Department of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand disclosed that due to the increase in the cost of raw materials, Thailand decided to raise the price of steel bars and steel frames by 300 baht per ton, while the price of steel sheets remained at the original level.

The new commerce minister pointed out that Thailand's construction industry will be active after Songkran Festival, and predicted that steel prices will remain high until the middle of the year. The price of long steel bars on the world market rose from $395 per ton in January to $415-420 per ton in February. The adjusted steel price in Thailand will be maintained until the end of March, and the next time will be in mid-April to study the intermediate price of steel, which will be readjusted according to the market, with a range of 2%-3% each time, but it is believed that the rise and fall will not exceed 10% this year.
