July, lithium-ion energy storage equipment fires occurred successively in many places in the United States, covering household energy storage , household battery power walls and so on.
According to foreign media reports on July 26, a lithium-ion battery fire broke out outside a residential building in North Berkeley, California. The battery is charged by household photovoltaic modules and is mainly used to power Tesla vehicles.
On July 29, another energy storage fire occurred in Visalia, California. The shed was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. After verification, the fire source was the battery energy storage system (household power wall) placed in the shed.
Also on July 29, a container storing lithium-ion batteries caught fire at a logistics company in Mayodan, North Carolina. Because the lithium battery in the container is difficult to extinguish completely, the fire department adopts the disposal plan of controlling the periphery and waiting for the battery to burn out.
