Recently, Pingdingshan Shengguang Energy Storage Co., Ltd. announced that the EPC general contracting of the 200 MW/1.6 GWh advanced compressed air (salt cavern) energy storage power station project in Yexian County, Pingdingshan was formally disqualified due to the failure of the winning bidder to sign the contract within the time limit, and the project will be re-tendered. The total investment of the
project is about 1.92 billion yuan, which is a compressed air energy storage project using salt caverns about 1040 meters underground. The first successful bidder of the
project is Hebei Electric Power Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Construction Group, and the members of the consortium include China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and Southwest Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Construction Eighth Bureau.
Prior to this, the EPC of the project has experienced the suspension of bidding, the abandonment of the supervision bid section and other situations, coupled with only one abandonment of the bid can be said to be twists and turns.
