Tongling City is located in the south-central part of Anhui Province, the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with convenient transportation. In terms of
mineral resources, there are many kinds of mineral resources in Tongling City, with abundant reserves. The dominant minerals are copper, gold, pyrite and limestone for cement.
The Mineral Resources Planning of Tongling City (2021-2025) shows that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the demand for sand and gravel mines in Tongling City will remain at a high level. In view of the increasing demand for sand and gravel mines in infrastructure, urbanization, major transportation trunk lines and other industrial development, the guarantee capacity of sand and gravel mines will be strengthened. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, on the premise of giving priority to ecological protection, we should base ourselves on the self-use of sand and gravel mines in the whole city and strive to form a regional supply situation.
