On August 11, the People's Government of Qidong City, Jiangsu Province, issued a public announcement on the acceptance of Hongjun New Energy Heterojunction Battery and Component Project (Phase I). According to the EIA information of the
project, Qidong Hongjun plans to invest 2 billion yuan to build a 4GW battery + 2GW module production base and a solar photovoltaic advanced technology innovation center project in two phases. Among them, the first phase plans to invest 1 billion yuan to build 2G W HJT double-sided double-glass component project and complete the main project construction of the whole plant.
It is reported that Qidong Hongjun Project was signed in July 2024, with a total investment of about 4 billion yuan, and two phases of development and construction of 4G W battery + 6G W component production base and perovskite battery pilot base project. According to
the data, Qidong Hongjun New Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangdong Hongjun Juneng New Energy Co., Ltd., while Guangdong Hongjun is co-funded by Zhuhai Fuhong Juneng, Chunhua Capital and Gree Group.
