Indian solar manufacturers Rayzon Solar and Navitas Solar have each signed a five-year strategic partnership with Caelux, an American perovskite technology company, to develop and manufacture a total of 10 GW of perovskite-crystalline silicon tandem solar modules in India.

On July 23, local media reported that Indian solar manufacturers Rayzon Solar and Navitas Solar signed five-year strategic cooperation with Caelux, an American perovskite technology company. A total of 10 GW of perovskite-crystalline silicon tandem solar modules will be developed and manufactured in India.

According to the agreement, Caelux's perovskite solar power glass will be combined with its N-type TOPCon module technology to manufacture hybrid series modules with a target efficiency of up to 28%, while the efficiency of traditional TOPCon modules is about 25%. The collaboration

with Rayzon Solar covers the production of 5G W hybrid stack modules.

Rayzon Solar is one of India's largest solar PV module manufacturers with an annual capacity of 11.31 GW at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat, India. The company is also pushing ahead with the construction of a 5.1GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing plant, which is reportedly in an advanced stage of production.

The company said it would use its 11.3 GW double-sided module manufacturing platform to integrate Caelux's perovskite-coated glass into its TOPCon module production line. The project is scheduled to achieve the goal of commercial production in 2028.
