He stressed that the Malawian government will continue to optimize the business environment, support Chinese-funded enterprises to expand investment cooperation, and provide necessary foreign exchange guarantees to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. In his speech,
Lu Xu said that Huaxin has set a new benchmark for practical cooperation between China and Malaysia, which will drive the development of relevant local industrial chains and create employment opportunities. Under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, China will continue to encourage more powerful and reputable Chinese enterprises to invest in Malaysia. Looking forward to the future, we will work hand in hand to further strengthen the strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, so that the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries can achieve more results. In his speech,
Wang Jiajun thanked the Malawian government for its support and trust, stressing that Huaxin will build the Baraka factory into a demonstration project of Sino-Malawian cooperation, and will increase investment in the later stage, actively expand environmental protection, new building materials and other businesses, and further cultivate the African market with technology empowerment and localized operation. Inject strong impetus into Malawi's economic transformation. Zhang Chunfa, Counsellor of the
Chinese Embassy in Malawi, Chifindo Makande, Member of Parliament of Malawi and Governor of the Central Reserve Bank, and representatives of relevant Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Chinese-funded enterprises attended the ribbon-cutting and unveiling activities on that day, and visited the Baraka factory and the central control room.
It is reported that the Baraka plant, with a total investment of over 700 million yuan, took only 11 months from construction to commissioning, creating a record of high efficiency in the construction of cement production lines in Africa. The plant is equipped with a leading clinker production line with a daily output of 2,000 tons and a supporting 12 MW power station, and the annual cement output will reach 800,000 tons after putting into operation. In the later stage, the product matrix of cement and clinker will be improved to realize the diversification of supply and effectively fill the gap of local high-end building materials. The factory adopts advanced energy-saving equipment and low-carbon calcination process, and builds a DCS automation control system covering the whole process to build an intelligent and green production demonstration line, which fully demonstrates the technical strength and environmental protection concept of China's manufacturing industry.
