On March 10, the commencement ceremony of Yungang East 550 MW Photovoltaic Project, a new energy base in Jinbei Coal Mining Subsidence Area contracted by Southwest Institute of China Energy Construction Power Engineering, was held, marking that the project formally entered the stage of comprehensive construction.
The project is located in the east of the coal mining subsidence area of Yungang District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, covering an area of about 17,300 mu, with an AC side installed capacity of 550 MW. There are 77 centralized inverters and 138 string inverters . Upon completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual average power generation will be 1,029,813 MWh.
Shanxi Jinbei Coal Mining Subsidence Area New Energy Base Project is one of the 10 large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases to promote the "double carbon" target layout, and is also a key demonstration project of Shanxi Province's "five bases" construction. The total construction scale of the project is 10GW. Jinneng Holding Jinbei Energy (Shanxi) Co., Ltd. invests in the construction of 8GW. The project is distributed in Datong urban districts and counties, including Xinrong District, Zuoyun County, Yungang District and Hunyuan County. The wind and solar power generation is 6GW, the supporting coal power is 2GW, and the new energy storage is built as a whole.
Among them, the total capacity of the photovoltaic power generation project in the new energy base of Shanxi Jinbei Coal Mining Subsidence Area is 5 million kilowatts (5G W), 1.7 million kilowatts (1.7 GW) in Yungang District and Xinrong District, and 1.6 million kilowatts (1.6 GW) in Zuoyun County.
