According to local media reports, the European Commission has approved a 1.1 billion euro (about 8.824 billion yuan ) French state aid plan to support strategic investment in line with the objectives of the Clean Industry Agreement. In order to increase the capacity of clean technology manufacturing, this will also contribute to the realization of the EU's goal of net zero emission economic transformation.
The plan was approved in accordance with the National Assistance Framework for Clean Industries adopted by the European Commission in June 2025. The latest French aid plan is the eighth clean technology capacity assistance project approved under the framework. The plan encourages investment in more zero-emission production capacity, including equipment manufacturing for solar, onshore and offshore wind power plants, heat pumps and energy storage systems . The plan also covers business expenditures related to the purchase of key components and important raw materials for these technologies. The subsidy will be in the form of a tax credit , valid until the end of 2028 and applicable throughout France.
